Useful Resources for New Mac Users

A member of my family asked me for some advice on buying a Mac.  Here's some information and resources they found particularly useful:
Should I switch?:
Should you switch to a Mac? I think yes - don't bother watching this youtube video :)
Apple's Why You'll Love a Mac page should be explored

Software:
Open Office is free text, spreadsheet, presentation (and more) application much like Microsoft Office.  It can handle .doc, .xls and .ppt files and does everything you'd expect very well.  If you are used to Microsoft Office and want to stick with it then you can buy MS Office for Mac.
